Job summary

Google is seeking a Facilities Technician to design, operate, monitor, and support critical data center facilities. You will inspect, maintain, and repair generator systems, electrical distribution, HVAC and related infrastructure to ensure high reliability and efficiency.

You will work with the AI and Infrastructure teams to optimize operations, control costs, and deliver scalable data center performance while adhering to safety and environmental standards.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or equivalent technical training requirement.
• 5 years of generator experience in industrial or commercial settings.
• Experience with electrical infrastructure systems and maintenance.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and use OSHA safety equipment.
• Ability to work non-standard hours and varied shifts.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on generator sets.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical and electrical failures with tools/manuals.
• Carry out repairs on engines, alternators, control panels and electrical systems.
• Operate, monitor, and respond to abnormal data center facilities conditions.
• Support startup, commissioning, and integration of new generator equipment.
