Job summary

Google is hiring a Facilities Technician to operate, monitor, and support data center physical facilities. You will inspect, maintain, and repair data center systems, read blueprints and sequences of operations, and assist senior technicians daily.

You contribute to uptime by managing UPS, generators, electrical distribution, and control systems, and help integrate new equipment into facilities infrastructure with safety and efficiency in mind.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree, trade school certification, or related technical training or equivalent experience.
• 2 years of Electrical experience in industrial or commercial settings.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and use PPE and safety equipment as required.
• Ability to work non-standard hours and varying shifts.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, maintain, and repair data center systems.
• Assist technicians by reading blueprints/schematics and conducting system tours.
• Manage uptime and maintenance of UPS, generators, electrical distribution, and control systems.
• Respond to abnormal conditions to minimize recovery time and support commissioning of new equipment.
