Job summary

Google is seeking a Facilities Technician for our data center operations in the United States. You will inspect, maintain and repair critical electrical, mechanical and HVAC systems to ensure uptime and safety.

Responsibilities include fire detection and suppression systems, power distribution and monitoring, and working with emergency response teams. The role requires rotating shifts and lifting up to 50 lbs, with training on PPE and safety procedures.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent practical training in a related technical field.
• 5 years of electrical, mechanical/HVAC, or controls/automation experience in industrial/commercial settings.
• Experience with electrical safety, maintenance, and PPE compliance.
• Ability to work non-standard hours and rotating shifts.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, maintain, and repair data center electrical, mechanical and HVAC systems.
• Manage fire detection and suppression systems and coordinate with Emergency Response teams.
• Monitor power distribution, UPS systems, generators, and environmental controls to minimize downtime.
