Job summary

Google is seeking a Facilities Technician to join its data center team. You will operate, monitor, and support physical facilities conditions, including heating and cooling, power supply, generators, UPS, and electrical distribution.

You read blueprints, inspect systems, and respond to maintenance needs to keep critical infrastructure running. Ideal candidates have 2+ years in mechanical/HVAC roles within data centers or similar environments, with OSHA PPE knowledge and the ability to work

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent training in a related technical field required.
• Minimum 2 years of Mechanical/HVAC experience in industrial or commercial settings.
• Ability to lift, carry, or move up to 50 lbs and use OSHA safety equipment.
• Ability to work non-standard hours and rotating shifts.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, maintain, and repair data center piping and mechanical components.
• Read blueprints/schematics and assist senior technicians.
• Manage uptime and maintenance of water pumps, HVAC, and monitoring systems.
• Operate and respond to abnormal conditions in data center facilities.
• Support startup, commissioning, and integration of new mechanical equipment.
