Job summary

AWS Data Center Facility Manager in Northern Virginia leads a cluster of AWS data centers, ensuring availability and reliability to meet defined service levels. The role requires expertise in electrical and mechanical systems and oversight of engineers, technicians, and vendor partners.

The candidate must be a US citizen with an active TS/SCI clearance (polygraph) and be prepared to obtain and maintain the clearance after start.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in electrical and mechanical systems critical to data center operations.
• Experience leading Engineering Operations Technicians and coordinating with third‑party vendors.
• Security clearance requirements including Top Secret with SCI eligibility and polygraph.

Responsibilities

• Execute InfraOps vision and goals.
• Drive improvement projects from concept to completion.
• Coordinate daily with multiple third‑party vendors to meet SLAs.
• Manage operations budget and expenditures efficiently.
• Develop and enforce policies and procedures to meet SLAs.
• Coordinate change management resources.
• Provide weekly reports to the Cluster Manager.
• Write and deliver performance reviews for staff.
• Maintain on‑call schedules and staff coverage.
• Recruit and train technicians to maintain staffing levels.
