Job summary

Google is seeking a Facilities Manager II to lead data center operations in Sterling, VA. You will oversee safety, reliability, and compliance of electrical, mechanical, and controls infrastructure across global sites with a focus on mentorship and team development.

You will partner with cross-functional teams to optimize costs, drive standards, and implement scalable programs for next-generation facilities, fostering a collaborative Googley culture.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 10 years of experience managing technical teams in charge of operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting electrical, mechanical, and controls infrastructure and components.
• Experience in mentoring or developing managers.

Responsibilities

• Own compliance activities for data centers and analyze results globally.
• Lead monitoring of data center systems operations and manage site activities to minimize risk.
• Ensure sites follow facility, maintenance, and standard programs globally and drive improvements.
• Develop strategies to reduce operational costs, improve efficiency, and reduce environmental impact at sites.
• Apply domain expertise to enhance data center design for next generation facilities.
