Job Summary
Equinix, the world’s leading provider of data center and interconnection solutions, is seeking a Data Center Expense Advisor to support purchasing operations and financial processes in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. This role ensures seamless procurement and financial accountability while collaborating with various stakeholders.
Responsibilities
Procure to Pay Process
Creates Purchase Requisitions for the country/region expenses within a limited scope
Monitors purchase order quality and provides KPI reporting to improve process
Works with requestors to ensure POs are receipted correctly and timely
Updates commitment values vs. POs, working with Ops Finance/General Ledger to assess unmade commitments vs. budget
Ensures compliance of Purchase Requests (5 W’s), all required contracts/legal approvals, accounting codes, and competitive bids
Contacts vendors for invoices where necessary
Resolves billing/invoice problems related to the country/region expenses
Reporting
Responsible for running and providing purchase order commitment reports to Data Center teams
Updates commitment tracking reports, including purchase order information and fund reallocation as communicated by Data Center teams
Business Relationships
Supports vendors as a key point of contact for query resolution, working closely with Accounts Payable team
Acts as the link between the business and finance to meet commitments
Qualifications
2 years of related experience preferred
Finance or Accounting background preferred
The targeted pay range for this position in the U.S. varies by location and is as follows:
California (Non-SF/Bay Area), Connecticut, Maryland, New York, New Jersey, Washington state: $67,000 to $101,000 per year
Our pay ranges reflect the minimum and maximum target for new hire pay for the full-time position, based on role, level, and location. Individual pay depends on skills, experience, and education. This position may be available in other locations; your recruiter can provide specific pay range details during the hiring process. The listed pay range is base pay only and does not include bonuses, equity, or benefits. Employees are eligible for bonuses, and equity may be offered depending on the role.
