Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. in Leesburg, VA seeks a Data Center Engineering Technician to monitor and maintain critical facility equipment, including generators, switchgear, UPS, PDUs, and cooling systems. This hands-on role ensures 24/7 reliability and supports mission-critical infrastructure.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• 1+ years’ experience with Microsoft Office products.
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule including days, nights, and/or weekends.

Responsibilities

• Daily building rounds to monitor electrical, mechanical, and fire/safety equipment for 24/7 reliability.
• Monitor Building Management Systems (BMS) and Electrical Power Management System (EPMS).
• Troubleshoot facility and rack-level events within SLAs and perform PMs.
• Perform rack installs and decommissioning within internal SLA.
• Root cause analysis and repair of electrical and mechanical equipment.
• Create technical documentation to support change management.
• Manage daily work requests and drive projects from conception to completion.
• Provide on-site support to contractors and vendors per established practices and local law.
• Be flexible with work schedule and potential travel between sites.
