Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. in Canton, Mississippi, is seeking a Data Center Engineering Technician to join our on-site team. You will maintain, operate, and troubleshoot mission-critical data center facilities, including generators, switchgear, UPS, PDUs, cooling systems, and fire/life safety equipment.

You will work with a diverse team to ensure 99.999% uptime, support SLA-driven tasks, and relocate between sites as needed to keep our global infrastructure running smoothly.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience with Microsoft Office products.
• 2+ years of electrical and mechanical experience.
• Willingness to work flexible schedules, including nights/weekends.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily rounds and monitor critical building systems.
• Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and fire/life safety equipment.
• Support PM, repair, and changes within SLAs.
• Assist contractors and ensure compliance with procedures and laws.
• Travel between data centers as needed.
