Actalent in Detroit, MI, is seeking an Engineering Project Manager to lead data center infrastructure projects from concept through commissioning in a hybrid work environment. You will manage cross-functional engineering teams, contractors, and stakeholders to deliver on time and within budget while meeting safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field as listed.
• 3+ years of engineering project management in data centers or large infrastructure.
• Experience managing multimillion-dollar capital projects from planning through commissioning.

Responsibilities

• Lead full lifecycle of data center engineering projects from concept through design, construction, commissioning, and handover.
• Define and manage project scope, schedules, budgets, procurement plans, and resource allocations.
• Coordinate internal engineering teams, consultants, contractors, vendors, and commissioning agents to drive execution.
• Monitor project progress, track milestones, and provide regular status updates and reports to leadership and key stakeholders.
• Identify project risks related to schedule, cost, safety, and operations, and implement mitigation strategies to minimize impacts.
• Oversee engineering design activities for electrical, mechanical, HVAC, and network systems to meet performance and reliability goals.
• Review engineering drawings, specifications, RFIs, and design documentation for accuracy and completeness.
• Ensure all systems are tested, documented, and ready for operational turnover with as-built documentation.
