Job summary

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking an on-site Data Center Engineering Operations Technician I in Oregon to support critical infrastructure and uptime. You will join a team of engineers, technicians, and facilities staff to maintain safety, efficiency, and reliability across data centers.

The role involves troubleshooting rack-level events, performing installs, coordinating contractors, and contributing to incident response and change management. On-call rotations and shifts may apply.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting data center operations and facilities.

• Willingness to work shifts and on-call rotations.

Responsibilities

• Involved with projects of moderate complexity.
• Assist in troubleshooting facility and rack-level events within SLA.
• Perform rack installs, decommissioning, and facility management.
• Provide key performance indicators to senior engineers.
• On-site management of contractors and vendors, ensuring proper procedures.
• Monitor electrical, mechanical, and fire/life safety equipment.
• Ensure safety procedures are followed during work.
• Assist with ticketing, root cause analysis, change management, and procedures.
