Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. is seeking a Data Center Engineering Operations Technician (EOT) to join our 24/7 facilities team in Ohio. You will troubleshoot electrical and mechanical equipment, perform routine maintenance, and support site operations across generators, BMS/EPMS, UPSs, PDUs, AHUs, and pumps.

This role requires lifting up to 39 pounds, climbing ladders, and rotating 12-hour shifts. You'll work with on-site technicians, follow safety procedures, and contribute to reducing

Qualifications

• Current TS/SCI US Government Security Clearance.
• 3+ years of data center or mission critical facilities experience.
• Experience with building management systems (BMS/EPMS).

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain mechanical and electrical equipment within the data center.
• Troubleshoot facility and rack-level events within internal SLAs.
• Perform limited maintenance tasks (filters, HVAC PMs, rack power installs, rack PDU, rack ATS).
• Provide support to Data Center Operations technicians.
• Perform root cause analysis of equipment failures.
• Adhere to all safety procedures while performing work.
• Work a 12 hour shift (rotating 3 and 4 day weeks).
• Take daily operational readings (temperatures, voltages, currents).
• Utilize CMMS to manage workflows and spare parts inventory.
• Supervise contractors performing maintenance.
• Respond to off-hour emergency calls per on-call rotation.
• Comply with security procedures and policies.
• Drive innovation to reduce operational costs in facilities.
• Manipulate small wires and objects.
