Amazon Inc. is seeking a Data Center Engineering Operations Technician to support AWS global infrastructure. You will operate and maintain critical mechanical and electrical equipment, including generators and fire/life-safety systems, in a 24/7 data center environment.

Qualifications

• Operate and maintain mechanical and electrical equipment in data centers.
• Follow safety procedures and respond to incidents promptly.
• Work 12 hour shifts with rotating days/nights on-site.
• Support Data Center Operations technicians and contractors.
• Perform basic preventive maintenance tasks and routine rounds.
• Utilize CMMS to manage work orders and inventory.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain electrical and mechanical equipment in the data center.
• Troubleshoot facility and rack-level events within internal SLAs.
• Perform maintenance tasks including filters, HVAC PMs, rack PDU/ATS replacements.
• Provide support to Data Center Operations technicians.
• Perform root cause analysis of equipment failures.
• Ensure safety procedures are followed during all tasks.
• Take daily readings of temperatures, voltages, currents, etc.
• Work a 12 hour shift with rotating days/nights.
