Job summary

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is hiring for a Data Center Facilities Engineer in Phoenix, AZ. You will operate and maintain critical mechanical and electrical systems across our data centers, ensuring reliability and safety in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires lifting up to 39 pounds, working in extreme climates, and rotating 12-hour shifts (days/nights). Minimum 1+ year experience in data center facilities and a high school diploma are required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1+ year of electrical or mechanical, or data center facilities experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain mechanical and electrical equipment within the data center.
• Troubleshoot facility and rack-level events within internal SLAs.
• Perform limited maintenance tasks including filter changes, HVAC PMs, rack power installs, rack PDU, and rack ATS replacements.
• Provide support to Data Center Operations technicians.
• Perform root cause analysis of equipment failures.
• Ensure safety procedures are followed during work.
• Drive innovation while reducing operational costs in the facilities.
