Job summary

Centuria is seeking a Converged Infrastructure Engineer to support US Fleet Forces Command HQ in Norfolk, VA. You will provide IT engineering and technical services for a broad range of data center technologies, focusing on NetApp, VMware, Citrix and Cisco Data Center solutions at a SECRET environment.

Responsibilities include designing, deploying and maintaining virtualization, storage, and network infrastructure, ensuring security compliance, and providing 24x7 on-call support as part of USFF

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Computer Science/Engineering or related technical degree or an Associate Degree in Computer Science/Engineering with additional 2 years of experience.
• Six years’ experience managing data center technologies including planning, development, implementation and support vSphere, VMware virtual switching, vMotion, and HA, Horizon View, Citrix Storefront/Xenapp and NetApp platforms.
• IAT II Certification (Typically CompTIA SEC+).
• One of the following certifications within 12 months: VMware Certified Professional (VCP), NetApp NCIE-SAN, Cisco CCNP Data Center

Responsibilities

• The engineer shall provide IT engineering and technical services and support for a broad assortment of system engineering and support functions.
• The engineer shall provide direct support services for overall and complete operation and maintenance of the Headquarters SECRET, NATO, Coalition and UNCLASSIFIED networks and associated hardware and software.
• Design, plan, implement, upgrade, and maintain new data center technologies in storage, virtualization and network engineering with a focus on NetApp, VMware, Citrix and Cisco Data Center and Hyperconverged Infrastructure (HCI) Technologies.
• Proactively maintain Citrix, NetApp and VMware vSphere and Horizon platforms in use supporting the USFF Data Center.
• Maintain the system, network, and application security integrity including maintaining and updating the C&A packages and complying with Information Assurance policies.
