Job summary

Qualcomm Incorporated in Atlanta is seeking a Data Center Engineer to join the Global Data Center Operations team. You will manage day-to-day operations of Qualcomm data centers, ensuring uptime, performance and capacity, and handle site management, rack/installations, and provisioning.

The role requires 3+ years IT experience, on-site work, and on-call rotation. You will collaborate with the Atlanta and San Diego teams, work on fiber/cabling, inventory, and vendor management.

Qualifications

• 3+ years IT-related work experience with a Bachelor's degree, or 5+ years without a Bachelor's degree.
• Advanced degrees may substitute for up to two years of work experience.

Responsibilities

• Rack and install servers, storage, networking gear, data center gear, and serial consoles.
• Perform initial configuration and provisioning for deployment (Console/ILO).
• 24x7x365 on-call support rotation.
• Manage cable layouts, inventory, and vendor coordination.
