Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. seeks a Data Center Engineering Technician to maintain and troubleshoot mission-critical facilities equipment, including standby generators, UPS, switchgear, PDUs, chillers, and cooling systems. You will monitor BMS/EPMS, perform preventive maintenance, and support change management while ensuring high uptime and safety.

The role requires travel between data centers, a flexible schedule, and collaboration with diverse teams to uphold AWS standards and security.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of electrical facilities maintenance experience.
• 1+ year of mechanical facilities maintenance experience.
• 2+ years of Microsoft Office products and applications experience.
• Work flexible schedule including weekends, nights, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Daily building rounds to monitor electrical, mechanical, and fire/life safety equipment for 24/7 reliability.
• Monitor Building Management Systems (BMS) and Electrical Power Management System (EPMS).
• Troubleshoot facility and rack-level events within internal SLAs.
• Perform rack installs and decommissioning within SLA.
• PM, troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and repair of electrical and mechanical equipment.
• Technical writing to support change management.
• Monitor daily work requests and manage to resolution; execute projects from conception to completion.
• Provide on-site support of contractors and vendors per practices and local legislation.
