Job summary

Google is seeking a Facilities Technician for data center operations in the United States. You will inspect, maintain, and repair electrical and mechanical systems, read blueprints, and assist senior technicians to ensure safe, reliable facility performance.

You will monitor power, cooling, and control systems, respond quickly to issues, and support new equipment integration to enhance efficiency and uptime across Google’s hyperscale data centers.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree, trade school certification, or other certified training in a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 2 years of Electrical experience in an industrial or commercial environment.
• Ability to participate in material handling tasks up to 50 lbs and use PPE.
• Ability to work non-standard hours and shifts.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, maintain, and repair data center systems.
• Provide daily assistance reading blueprints/schematics and assessing system order.
• Manage uptime and maintenance of UPS, generators, distribution, and monitoring systems.
• Operate, monitor, and respond to abnormal conditions in data center facilities.
• Support startup, commissioning, and integration of new electrical equipment.
