Job summary

Jacobs is seeking an Electrical Start-Up/Commissioning Specialist to lead energization, commissioning, and inspection of power distribution, UPS, and related electrical systems for hyperscale data centers.

You will develop start-up plans, generate documentation, coordinate with OEMs and construction teams, and travel to client locations as needed. A Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering and 5+ years in data centers are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent years of experience in lieu of degree.
• 5+ years of Start-Up and Commissioning experience in the data center industry or mission-critical facilities.
• Understanding of data center electrical systems and power reliability requirements.
• Understanding of industry standards and best practices for electrical commissioning.
• Flexibility and willingness to travel and work at various clients' locations.

Responsibilities

• Assist with project Start-Up and Commissioning Plan and execution strategies.
• Assist with system Start-Up and Commissioning Plans for all electrical systems.
• Assist with generating and executing Start-Up and Commissioning documents according to industry best practices.
• Assist with startup of electrical equipment in a safe and effective manner.
• Coordinate with OEM Service technicians and construction management firm as needed.
