Job summary

Jacobs is hiring an Electrical Start-Up/Commissioning Specialist to lead energized startup, commissioning, and inspection of data center power systems for hyperscale and enterprise deployments. You will develop start-up plans, prepare commissioning documents, and execute field activities with a focus on safety and quality.

The role requires a BS in Electrical Engineering, 5+ years of start-up experience in data centers, travel readiness, and strong teamwork.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of Start-Up and Commissioning experience in data centers or mission-critical facilities.
• Understanding of data center electrical systems and power reliability.
• Understanding of industry standards for electrical commissioning.
• Willingness to travel and work at client locations.

Responsibilities

• Assist with Start-Up and Commissioning Plan and execution strategies.
• Assist with system Start-Up and Commissioning Plans for all electrical systems.
• Generate and execute Start-Up and Commissioning documents per best practices.
• Startup of electrical equipment safely and effectively.
• Coordinate with OEM service technicians and construction management.
