Miller Electric Company seeks a Data Center Construction Assistant Project Manager in Richmond, VA. You will report to the Project Manager in a client-facing role, assisting in estimating scope and costs, and coordinating subcontractors on large projects.

You’ll maintain documentation, track budgets, and prepare client-ready reports. You will communicate with clients and subcontractors, participate in meetings, and support change requests to resolve design issues.

Qualifications

• 2+ years as an Assistant Project Manager over commercial electrical work.
• Able to work independently as well as in a team environment.
• Strong computer skills and quick to learn new systems.
• Commitment to continuous improvement of communication, organization and leadership skills.
• Effective scheduling and delegation to accomplish tasks on time.
• Tactful conflict resolution and problem-solving abilities.
• Applicants must be authorized to work in the U.S. on a full-time basis.

Responsibilities

• Assist in estimating project scope and costs.
• Manage project expectations and execution of subcontractors for projects $100M+.
• Maintain project documentation.
• Track project expenses and budget.
• Prepare reports.
• Communicate with clients and subcontractors.
• Attend and participate in project coordination and owner/contractor/architect/engineer meetings.
• Research and prepare change requests to resolve design issues for approval.
• Research and recommend solutions to design document problems.
• Monitor field work to ensure compliance with standards and codes.
• Assist with submittal and RFI processes.
• Assist in the early completion and tracking of billing.
