Job summary

EdgeConneX is seeking an Electrical Operations Engineer to support the Atlanta data center site, reporting to the Site Chief Engineer. The role requires onsite daily and a focus on critical electrical infrastructure, including MV switchboards, transformers, generators, ATS/STS, UPS, PDUs, and RPPs.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years of experience with data center electrical systems, mechanical equipment knowledge (CRAH/CRAC/chillers), and comfort working in a 24x7 environment.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience managing data center electrical infrastructure transformers, generators, ATS/STS, UPS, PDUs, and RPPs.
• Foundation in operating data center mechanical equipment such as CRAH, CRAC, chillers, etc.
• Strong command of English, both written and verbal.
• Experience in a high-demanding 24x7 environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide oversight of critical infrastructure and building electrical systems.
• Operate critical infrastructure including MV switchboards, transformers, generators, ATS/STS, UPS, PDUs, and RPPs.
• Oversee maintenance, corrective activities, and customer requests.
• Perform system analysis and reporting; update tickets and communications.
• Execute MOPs and supervise on-site subcontractors.
