Job summary

Meta is seeking a Data Center Electrical Engineer to join our design engineering team. You will contribute to the design and operation of mission-critical electrical power systems for state-of-the-art data centers, focusing on reliability, safety, and efficiency.

You will work with HV-MV-LV distribution, backup power, energy storage, and on-site generation, employing industry standards and advanced power simulation tools. A PE license or active pursuit is expected, with an MSEE preferred.

Qualifications

7+ years of hands-on design and development experience in mission-critical electrical power components and systems.
Experience with electrical power simulation software such as ETAP, EMTP, PSSE, PSCAD, Easypower, Powerworld, MATLAB/Simulink.
Knowledge of NEC, NETA, ANSI, IEC, IEEE, NFPA, UL, UFC and UBC standards.
Cross-disciplinary knowledge of data center electrical systems design and operation: HV-MV-LV power distribution, backup power, energy storage, and onsite generation.
Experience in designing and implementing protection & control systems.
Professional Engineer registration or active pursuit; MSEE preferred.

Responsibilities

Design and develop electrical power components and systems for mission-critical facilities.
Perform concept formulation, detailed design, modeling/simulation, prototyping, testing, and deployment.
Lead reliability, safety, and efficiency improvements for data centers.
Integrate AI tools to optimize workflows and drive measurable impact.
