Insight Global is seeking an Electrical Engineer to join a growing team in Columbus, Ohio. The role focuses on designing and developing electrical systems and construction documents for data center, industrial, and other mission-critical environments.

You will develop electrical plans, work in a consulting engineering setting, and may support power studies onsite. The position welcomes candidates across experience levels and emphasizes collaboration across disciplines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) is required.
• Experience designing or marking up electrical construction documents.
• Proficiency with Revit and AutoCAD is required or strongly preferred.
• Willingness to travel nationally up to 25%.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop electrical construction documents, including drawings, plans, and specifications.
• Develop and modify electrical engineering/design plans using Revit and AutoCAD.
• Support power distribution system design for data center, industrial, commercial, and facility projects.
• Review and mark up engineering drawings and electrical design plans.
• Perform calculations and technical analysis related to electrical systems.
• Support electrical power-system studies and system assessments as needed.
• Travel to client sites to review, inspect, and document existing electrical equipment and systems.
• Enter field information into applicable power-system analysis software and assist with engineering studies.
• Collaborate with internal engineers, project managers, and other disciplines throughout the design process.
• Assist in developing technical solutions that meet project requirements and applicable engineering standards.
