Job summary

Anthropic is seeking a Data Center Electrical Engineer to lead electrical design for flagship data centers across the US. You will own the architecture from utility service entrance through rack power, develop reference designs, review submittals, and guide topology, redundancy, and equipment selection for high-density ML workloads.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of electrical engineering experience in mission-critical facilities
• Experience with data center electrical distribution design
• Familiarity with NFPA/IEEE/ANSI standards and NEC requirements

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical design of data center equipment across the US portfolio, including utility interface and substation
• Develop and maintain electrical basis of design and reference architectures
• Perform studies: short-circuit, protection coordination, arc flash, load flow, power quality
• Read and validate data center floor plans and plan DC hall layouts
• Drive prefabricated and modular electrical strategy (skids, e-houses)
• Coordinate with vendors, suppliers, and utilities for interconnection and approvals
• Review design packages and shop drawings from partners and consultants
• Manage multiple projects across geographies and travel for site reviews and startup support
• Contribute to internal electrical design standards and cross-team collaboration
