Job summary

Amazon Web Services is seeking an Electrical Engineer to join a global team responsible for the design and continuous innovation of our data center infrastructure. You will design resilient, cost-effective electrical distribution systems for mission-critical facilities and collaborate with utilities, vendors, and internal groups to ensure uptime and safety.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field required.
Experience researching new designs, technologies, and construction methods of data center equipment and facilities.
4+ years of industrial or commercial engineering in mission critical facilities (data centers, hospitals, manufacturing).
Proficiency with MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
Knowledge of building codes and regulations for the region (preferred).

Responsibilities

Data center electrical designs and collaboration with other disciplines to create a construction document set.
Create designs that meet quality and budget requirements.
Review and approve equipment submittals.
Define project scope and provide technical support during construction phases.
Coordinate with commissioning teams to test and validate electrical systems.
Travel to sites for site review and work with onsite field engineers.
