Job summary

CAI seeks DC Services Electrical Commissioning Engineers with 5–7 years of data center commissioning experience to support development and execution of electrical aspects of commissioning projects.

The role involves safety oversight, test script development, vendor coordination, and reporting through turnover to clients, with extensive travel and US work eligibility. CAI offers hands-on training, certifications, and opportunities in hyperscale environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of five to seven years Data Center Commissioning experience.
• Knowledge of OSHA and NFPA 70E safety requirements.
• Good written and spoken communication skills.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and specifications.
• Knowledge of data center design concepts.
• Knowledge and commissioning experience with Electrical Distribution Switchgear, Substations, UPS, ATS, Batteries, Diesel Generators & Load Banks.
• Knowledge of power quality analysis.
• Strong experience with Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
• Ability to write electrical commissioning scripts, daily reports, and final commissioning reports.
• Excellent oral and written English.
• Extensive travel may be required (75%).
• Passport required or ability to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Support all aspects of safety for all electrical tests.
• Support complete commissioning and performance acceptance testing of electrical infrastructure systems.
• QA/QC of electrical test procedures.
• Provide input to the commissioning plan.
• Develop reports for the electrical commissioning engineers and daily status updates.
• Attend customer equipment Factory Witness Tests.
• Assist with vendor coordination and management.
• Inspect equipment to ensure adherence to submittals.
• Provide test documentation showing delivery, installation and testing.
• Review design specs, submittals, one-line drawings, and project schedules.
• QA/QC of electrical equipment installation/startup.
• Execute test scripts to verify equipment and system operation.
• Ensure safe work practices on site.
• Engage with customers to ensure a positive experience and adherence to schedule.
• Provide daily team reports.
• Conduct facility walk downs, turnover and punch lists.
• Understand LEED specs and requirements.
• Identify new service opportunities for CAI.
