Job summary

Black Box is seeking a Data Center EHS Specialist to lead safety for the construction of one of the largest data centers in the United States. You will oversee safety programs, apply PMO standards, and ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and the company’s IIPP while guiding project deliverables and timelines on-site in DeKalb, IL.

You’ll develop and deliver safety training, conduct inspections, document audits and JHAs, participate in investigations, and support hearings and insurance

Qualifications

• Plans and implements safety policies per OSHA regulations and IIPP.
• Delivers safety training programs for onboarding and ongoing safety.
• Inspects facilities to identify hazards and recommends corrective measures.
• Maintains safety documentation including audits, inspections, PTPs, JHAs and SDSs.
• Participates in accident investigations and supports hearings and insurance cases.
• Excellent communication and proficiency in MS Word and Excel.

• Manage day-to-day operations by applying PMO standards and methodologies.
• Drive safety, quality and innovation on-site across project milestones.
• Oversee safety deliverables and ensure timelines are met for construction work.
