Job summary

Polsinelli PC in Kansas City seeks a junior‑to‑mid‑level associate to join its Data Center Development practice, representing developers, investors, hyperscale users, lenders, and other project stakeholders throughout all phases of data center development across the United States.

The associate will handle all phases of data center development nationwide, coordinate multidisciplinary teams, draft and negotiate complex development contracts, and deliver practical, business‑focused legal solutions.

Qualifications

• JD and active Missouri bar admission required.
• 3+ years of experience in complex commercial real estate and development transactions.
• Strong drafting, negotiation, and project‑management skills.
• Excellent academic credentials and superior writing, communication, and problem‑solving skills.
• Experience in renewables, digital infrastructure, project finance, or PPPs is desirable.
• Ability to manage sophisticated transactions involving multiple stakeholders.

Polsinelli is seeking a junior‑to‑mid‑level associate to join its nationally recognized Data Center Development practice in the Kansas City office. The associate will represent developers, investors, hyperscale users, lenders, and other project stakeholders throughout all phases of data center development across the United States.

Responsibilities

• Represent clients in all phases of data center development transactions, including site acquisition and disposition, ground leasing, title and survey review, land use and zoning, state and local permitting and entitlements, utility and interconnection agreements, construction and development contracts, commercial leasing, and other project development matters.
• Coordinate environmental and engineering consultants and advise clients through permitting, diligence, and development processes.
• Draft, negotiate, and manage complex commercial real estate and development contracts.
• Collaborate with colleagues in real estate, energy, finance, environmental, construction, and regulatory practices to deliver practical, business‑focused legal solutions.
