Job summary

Computacenter in Buffalo Grove, IL, seeks a Project Engineer to provide end-to-end technical leadership for customer deployments—from requirements discovery through build, integration, validation, and final technical closure.

The role translates customer requirements into executable designs, serves as the primary technical liaison among the customer, project leadership, engineering teams, and the integration facility, and focuses on delivery quality and timeliness.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, information technology, computer science, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Five or more years designing, configuring, implementing, or supporting enterprise tech environments.
• Experience translating customer requirements into detailed technical designs and supporting solutions through build, validation and acceptance.
• Preferred: CCNP, CCDP, JNCIP networking or data center certifications.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical discovery to define customer requirements, constraints, dependencies and acceptance criteria.
• Translate requirements into executable designs and communicate decisions, risks and trade-offs.
• Develop and maintain solution designs, MOPs, task trackers, workbooks, rack designs and related docs.
