Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. is seeking a senior leader to manage a team of technicians and engineers responsible for installing and building server rack capacity across our data centers.

You will drive operational excellence and oversee capacity planning for scalable, secure infrastructure. This role requires travel between data centers, collaboration with internal and external partners, and a focus on customer experience and reliability.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of data center experience or in a relevant field (e.g., Computer Science, Networking Engineering).
• 2+ years of people management experience.
• Bachelor's degree in an IT-related field or equivalent experience.
• Certifications such as CCNA, Network+, CCENT preferred.
• Experience installing physical data center equipment and knowledge of network design and troubleshooting.
• Experience conducting behavioral interviews and hiring.

Responsibilities

• Manage and develop teams of technicians and engineers, providing technical and leadership expertise.
• Deliver capacity to existing data centers.
• Help build and bring online new data centers.
• Improve processes and procedures continuously.
• Manage relationships with external vendors and contractors.
• Liaise with internal teams and management groups.
• Ensure adherence to health & safety standards in data centers.
• Create and maintain metrics to drive positive changes.
• Assist in implementing service methodologies (incident, problem, change, capacity).
