Job summary

Chugach Government Solutions is seeking a Custodian for an onsite role in Ft. Meade, MD. You will dust and clean data centers and sensitive areas, follow green cleaning practices where applicable, and work to meet OSHA and ASHRAE standards.

The pay rate is $25.50 per hour. The position requires a high school diploma and at least one year of commercial cleaning experience, ability to lift 50 pounds, pass background and drug screening, and obtain the necessary clearance.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• At least one year of commercial cleaning experience in sensitive areas/data centers.
• Experience with cleaning and waxing compounds, floor buffers and custodial equipment.
• Knowledge of specialty cleaning (HPL floors, VCT, ULPA, anti-static finishes).
• Knowledge of safety techniques and procedures.
• Ability to understand and follow routine instructions.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work at heights.
• Ability to obtain and maintain required clearance.
• U.S. Citizenship and valid driver’s license.
• Ability to work overtime and shift work as needed.

Responsibilities

• Dust and clean identified areas per standards and industry guidelines.
• Document work accurately and promptly.
• Coordinate access and accommodations with the customer.
• Report scheduling challenges to avoid delays.
• Use appropriate cleaning supplies and equipment.
• Maintain safety and report hazards.
• Move materials and equipment as needed.
• Assist others and provide training as required.
