Prime Data Centers is seeking a Data Center Critical Operations Technician to serve as the front line for electrical and mechanical troubleshooting and operation in our Dallas-area data center. You will handle emergency gensets, switchgear, UPS, and BMS, performing rounds, reading temperatures, voltages, currents, and logging data to support uptime and safety.
The role requires two or more years of technical training and is based on onsite shifts.

About the role
The Critical Operations Technician (COT) is the front line responder for hands‑on electrical and mechanical equipment troubleshooting and operation, including stand‑by diesel generators, switchboards/switchgears, UPSs, PDUs, AHUs, pumps, motors, VFDs, and building automation systems.
Responsibilities include maintaining and following processes to maximize customer uptime cost‑effectively, identifying and repairing data center problems quickly, ensuring contractors deliver quality services and meet internal customer demands.
Reports to: Critical Facilities Manager
Location: Onsite in data center located in north Dallas TX area

The pay range for this role is: 30‑40 USD per hour (DFW Data Center).
