Job summary

Aligned Data Centers, LLC seeks a Critical Facilities Technician to support 24x7 facility operations in Chicago, IL. You will install, repair, and maintain critical mechanical and electrical equipment across HVAC, fire systems, and building controls.

The role requires hands-on maintenance, troubleshooting, and coordination with Facility Manager and 3rd party contractors, with overtime and long shifts possible.

Qualifications

• High school diploma and 3-5 years’ experience in electrical or mechanical critical facilities support.
• Electrical/Mechanical certifications preferred.
• Willing to work overtime and longer shifts (12 hour).

Responsibilities

• Maintains, monitors, and performs preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on critical and non-critical equipment.
• Operation and maintenance of HVAC, plumbing, generator, fire detection/suppression, life safety, and building management systems.
• Coordinate electrical operations, energy management programs, and change control processes.
• Schedule and QA for preventive and contracted maintenance; finalize work orders in CMMS.
• Respond to emergencies and supervise 3rd party contractors as needed.
