Job summary

Salute is seeking a dynamic Critical Facilities Technician (Level 1 & 2) for an on-site role in Ellendale, ND. You will monitor, troubleshoot, and maintain data center infrastructure, coordinating with vendors and internal teams to ensure uptime and reliability.

Relocation assistance is available; you will be part of a 24‑hour facility team with opportunities to support hyperscale clients and deploy new services.

Qualifications

• Experience in operation, installation and maintenance of data center critical equipment.
• Knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire/life safety and control systems.
• Ability to observe, analyze and solve problems in complex environments.
• Familiarity with building systems like feeders, transformers, UPS, generators and cooling equipment.
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and work in varying conditions.

Responsibilities

• Operate, monitor, maintain, and respond to abnormal conditions in facilities systems.
• Perform planned and ad-hoc preventive maintenance across engineering and maintenance trades.
• Inspect HVAC, electrical distributions and mechanical rooms for safe, clean conditions.
• Respond to indoor emergencies and air quality issues.
• Create, close and track work requests; manage contractor coordination.
