Job summary

Kaygen, Inc. is seeking a Data Center Critical Facilities Technician to support critical facility infrastructure and DCIM platforms, including hands-on work with DCE, ITA, and Vertiv SiteScan to ensure high availability of monitoring systems.

You will configure assets, manage alarms and thresholds, assist with capacity planning, and collaborate with facilities, vendors, and infrastructure teams to keep data center operations running smoothly.

Qualifications

• 3-5+ years of relevant experience.
• Hands-on administration experience with APC DCE, Vertiv SiteScan, or IT Advisor.
• Experience configuring device onboarding, alert management, and thresholds.
• Strong understanding of HVAC, UPS, ATS, generators, and facility operations.
• Experience in data center, critical facilities, building automation, or MEP environments.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams).

Responsibilities

• Administer and maintain APC DCE, ITA, and/or Vertiv SiteScan platforms.
• Configure and onboard monitored assets: UPS, PDUs, environmental sensors, and critical facility equipment.
• Configure alarms, notifications, thresholds, and monitoring policies.
• Manage monitoring platform upgrades, maintenance, and system health.
• Support power, cooling, and environmental monitoring systems.
• Monitor HVAC, UPS, ATS, and Generator infrastructure.
• Maintain data center inventory and document facility assets.
• Participate in incident management and change management processes.
• Support capacity planning, power utilization, and rack space management.
• Work closely with facilities teams, vendors, and infrastructure teams to support continuous operations.
