The role involves operating and maintaining UPS systems, generators, cooling, switchgear, and power distribution, plus managing CMMS work orders, coordinating with vendors, and responding to emergencies with escalation procedures.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of hands-on data center or critical facility experience.
• Experience with UPS systems, emergency generators, switchgear, and power distribution.
• Strong written and verbal communication for documenting activities.
• Proficiency with MS Office, Google Suite, and CMMS.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs, climb ladders up to 30 ft, and work at heights.
• Flexibility to work different shifts, including holidays and emergencies.
• Ability to move around in large campus-like settings.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain all critical building systems to ensure 100% uptime.
• Monitor, adjust, and maintain refrigeration, HVAC, boilers, pumps, valves, and electrical systems.
• Record readings, analyze operations, and take corrective action as required.
• Manage work orders through CMMS, coordinate with vendors, and respond to tickets.
• Learn data center infrastructure to manage incidents and events effectively.
• Comply with emergency escalation procedures and respond to site emergencies.
• Maintain safe storage, handling, and disposal of hazardous materials; keep the site compliant.
