Job summary

Design Group is seeking a Controls Technician to install, commission, and test control systems in data-center environments near Covington, GA. You’ll work with HVAC, electrical, and building automation systems to ensure reliable operation and energy efficiency, collaborating with engineers and facilities staff.

The ideal candidate has an associate degree or technical certification and at least 3 years of experience with control systems; familiarity with BMS/SCADA is a plus.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or technical certification in electrical, mechanical, or control systems engineering.
• Minimum 3 years of experience with control systems in data centers or similar environments.
• Strong understanding of HVAC, electrical, and building automation systems.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
• Familiarity with BMS or SCADA is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Install, test, and commission control systems including HVAC, electrical, and lighting.
• Monitor control systems to ensure optimal performance and respond to alarms.
• Maintain detailed records of configurations and changes; generate performance reports.
• Collaborate with technicians, engineers, and facilities staff for seamless operation.
• Ensure all systems comply with codes, standards, and safety procedures.
