Job summary

Amazon is seeking a Controls Manager to lead BMS/EPMS deployment and service in AWS data centers, directing a highly skilled controls team and coordinating with hardware, software and facilities to meet safety, reliability and cost objectives.

You will manage remote teams in Texas, travel 35–50% to support construction and delivery, develop launch plans for new hires, review drawings and specifications, and ensure projects stay on time and within budget.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of general contractor and vendor management work related to construction and project execution.
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering plus 8+ years of relevant controls experience, or 12+ years in lieu of a degree.
• 3+ years of experience directly managing, mentoring, leading, and coaching teams of controls professionals.
• 4+ years of controls management of large, complex projects involving mechanical, electrical, and controls systems.

Responsibilities

• Manage remote teams in Texas.
• Travel required between 35-50% up to 50% across Texas to support construction and data center product delivery.
• Develop, implement and track team goals; reporting to stakeholders and leadership.
• Experience interviewing and developing launch plans for new hires.
• Experience in installation, programming, and troubleshooting of BMS/EPMS or industrial controls systems.
