Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. is seeking a seasoned Controls Manager for its data center operations in Boardman, OR.

You will lead onsite teams, drive deployment of BMS/EPMS systems, and coordinate cross-functional efforts across engineering, construction, and operations to ensure reliable, scalable infrastructure. The role requires extensive experience in industrial controls, project management, and vendor coordination, with a strong emphasis on safety, quality, and cost control in data center

Qualifications

• Experience leading Controls in manufacturing or complex industrial environments.
• Experience working with cross-functional teams to deliver complex construction projects.
• 5+ years of experience directly managing, mentoring, leading, and coaching teams of controls professionals.
• 5+ years of experience hiring, promoting, disciplining, and developing teams of controls professionals.
• 6+ years of experience in controls management of large, complex projects involving large-scale mechanical, electrical, and controls systems.
• 6+ years of general contractor and vendor management experience for controls projects.
• 5+ years of experience managing deployment of complex electrical and mechanical controls systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead onsite controls teams and oversee project execution in the Pacific Northwest (Boardman, OR).
• Develop and implement launch plans for new hires and team growth.
• Coordinate installation, programming, troubleshooting, and commissioning of BMS/EPMS systems.
• Manage project scope, schedule, and budget to align with design intent.
• Review specifications and drawings for control panels, power distribution, and electrical layouts.
• Coordinate internal and external project work to ensure on-time delivery.
• Interface with cross-functional partners to meet safety and quality standards.
• Mentor engineers and contractors to maintain high performance and compliance.
