Job summary

Shoolin Inc. seeks a Controls Engineer – Data Center / BMS to support data center installation and commissioning activities. The ideal candidate will have hands-on PLC troubleshooting experience and knowledge of BMS, BAS, or EPMS systems, preferably in data centers or critical facilities.

This onsite role requires OSHA 10 compliance and availability to work overtime. Pay rate is $40–$45/hr on W-2, with health insurance, a 401(k) plan, and limited PTO as required by law.

Qualifications

• Experience in PLC troubleshooting and controls engineering.
• Experience with BMS, BAS, or EPMS systems.
• Data center or critical facility experience preferred.
• Knowledge of HVAC controls, Modbus, and electrical systems.
• Ability to work onsite and support overtime as needed.
• OSHA 10 compliance required.

Responsibilities

• Configure and commission control devices and perform point-to-point testing.
• Troubleshoot PLCs, control panels, field devices, and EPMS systems.
• Support Ignition troubleshooting and device communication issues.
• Test HVAC devices, Modbus devices, switchgear, ATS, and power monitoring equipment.
• Verify device connectivity, network communications, and commissioning documentation.
• Support onsite commissioning activities and follow applicable safety requirements.
