Job summary

Actalent in Seattle is seeking a Construction Project Manager focusing on data center controls and commissioning to lead complex projects from kickoff to closeout. You will oversee schedules, budgets, and technical execution while maintaining strong customer relationships.

You will coordinate building automation and HVAC controls commissioning, manage subcontractors, handle RFIs and submittals, and ensure safety, quality, and on-time delivery across multiple concurrent projects in a fast-paced

Qualifications

• 2+ years of project management experience in building automation, controls, commissioning, construction, or related field.
• Experience managing multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong knowledge of building automation and HVAC controls in data centers or mission-critical facilities.
• Understanding of commissioning processes for building automation and HVAC systems.
• Hands-on experience with project financials: budgeting, forecasting, cost tracking, profitability management.
• Experience with RFIs, change orders, submittals, and related documentation workflows.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills coordinating cross-functional teams.
• Familiarity with electrical aspects of controls and commissioning projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead multiple data center and mission-critical controls and commissioning projects from kickoff through closeout.
• Plan and track project schedules to meet milestones and deadlines.
• Oversee budgets, forecasting, billing, and profitability targets.
• Coordinate building automation and HVAC commissioning activities to meet design intent.
• Manage subcontractors, scope alignment, performance oversight, and issue resolution.
• Administer change orders with evaluation, pricing, and documentation.
• Prepare RFIs and manage information flow to resolve field questions.
• Review and track submittals and ensure documentation aligns with project specs.
• Maintain comprehensive project records and reports for decisions and changes.
• Serve as primary customer contact, communicating updates and managing expectations.
• Ensure safety standards and site requirements are met on all activities.
• Drive quality assurance to ensure installations and commissioning meet standards.
• Collaborate with engineering, field technicians, and commissioning teams for integrated solutions.
• Identify risks early and develop mitigation plans to keep projects on track.
• Support closeout activities including punch lists and handover.
