Job summary

CBRE is seeking a Data Center Technician to perform preventive maintenance and corrective repairs in a Michigan City, Indiana data center. The role requires 1–2 years of experience in a technical discipline and an apprenticeship or equivalent.

On-site 12-hour shifts (7a-7p) with a 4-3-3-4 schedule, including some weekend work. Responsibilities include inspec tions of mechanical and engineering systems, responding to BMS Alarms, coordinating with vendors, and maintaining safe environmental

Qualifications

• Apprenticeship or equivalent with 1–2 years of job-related experience.
• Must be able to meet the physical requirements of this role.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office products.
• Authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship now or in the future.

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily site inspections of Mechanical & Engineering systems and equipment.
• Ensure the site's environmental conditions provide a safe work environment.
• React to Building Management System alarms and complete emergency repairs as needed.
• Coordinate with third-party vendors per Master Service Agreement and company processes.
• Escalate subcontractor performance that does not meet requirements.
