Job summary

CBRE is seeking a Data Center Technical Team Lead to perform preventative maintenance and complex repairs in a large data center operation in Michigan City, Indiana. The role requires prior DCS experience plus mechanical and electrical aptitude, with 12-hour shifts on a 4-3-3-4 schedule.

The candidate will manage daily activities, mentor staff, coordinate with contractors and tenants, and oversee fire/life safety, HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems while staying current with technology

Qualifications

• Apprenticeship or equivalent training in a technical discipline.
• Journeyman/Electrician or HVAC license preferred, with state/local licensure as required.
• Experience guiding staffing, training, coaching, and performance evaluation.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage daily team activities; set schedules and deadlines.
• Improve preventive maintenance programs and update manuals.
• Coordinate maintenance with contractors and tenant personnel.
• Oversee building systems: fire safety, plumbing, HVAC, electrical.
• Communicate with tenants, clients, owners, and vendors.
• Respond to emergencies and customer concerns.
• Model CBRE RISE values and lead by example.
• Integrate disciplines to achieve team goals.
• Troubleshoot and resolve day-to-day system issues.
