Job summary

STRM Recruiting is seeking a Superintendent – Data Center Construction to lead mission-critical data center projects in Kansas City. The ideal candidate has 5+ years of data center construction experience and a proven track record of managing field operations, subcontractors, schedules, safety, and quality from start through completion.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of Data Center construction experience.
• Strong understanding of commercial construction methods and sequencing.
• Ability to interpret Construction drawings, Specifications, Building codes.
• Experience managing subcontractors and understanding trade scopes of work.
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel to project sites.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).

Responsibilities

• Review project plans to develop procedures, staffing plans, and sequencing.
• Develop master schedule and look-ahead schedules with PM.
• Coordinate pre-construction meetings prior to mobilization.
• Procure and deliver tools, equipment, and materials to support schedules.
• Monitor progress and adjust schedules, staffing, and resources as needed.
• Supervise field personnel and coordinate subcontractors.
• Ensure understanding of scope, schedule, and quality expectations.
• Maintain regular communication with clients, designers, and inspectors.
• Promote safety policies and maintain housekeeping standards.
• Assist PM in preparing and executing the Project Management Plan.
