Jobtailor is seeking a senior data center project manager to lead design, preconstruction, and construction for multiple facilities in a dynamic environment. You will oversee budgets, schedules, and stakeholder communications while coordinating with sales and product teams on customized deployments.
The role requires on-site presence 3–4 days a week, travel up to 30%, and a track record in mission-critical data center delivery with strong MEP oversight.
• Lead and manage design, preconstruction, and construction activities for assigned data center projects
• Manage multiple projects and maintain budgets, schedules, and status reports
• Create and communicate monthly development program and project updates for executive-level reviews
• Develop master development programs, campus design solutions, and capital budgets
• Manage entitlement and permitting needs
• Implement and manage multi-phased site development plans
• Write scopes of work and participate in procurement and project cost estimates
• Evaluate pricing proposals for design, construction, and commissioning services
• Coordinate equipment procurement and delivery
• Coordinate submittals with site stakeholders
• Monitor project budgets and cost-to-date
• Establish schedules and manage teams through on-time completion
• Review contractor pay applications and negotiate change-order pricing
• Establish site construction security procedures
• Develop and communicate product deployment plans
• Collaborate with Sales Engineers and Product teams on custom deal solutions
• Maintain relationships with QTS stakeholders and represent QTS in OAC meetings
• Support due diligence for potential new sites
• Enhance project management processes and protocols
Demonstrates expertise in managing data center construction projects, including budget management, scheduling, and stakeholder communication. Proficient in commercial construction practices and project delivery methods, with a focus on MEP trade management and executive-level reporting.
