Job summary

Weeks Group, LLC is seeking a Data Center Construction Project Manager with 5+ years of experience to lead planning, execution, and delivery of large-scale data center projects. The role requires coordinating multidisciplinary teams to ensure on-time, on-budget completion and adherence to high quality standards in hyper-scale environments.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in data center construction project management.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) systems.
  • Experience with subcontractors, vendors, and third-party consultants.
  • Familiarity with building codes and data center standards.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with project managers, architects, engineers, and subcontractors to develop construction plans for data center projects.
  • Oversee installation, testing, and commissioning of MEP systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire protection).
  • Conduct site inspections to monitor progress and safety compliance.
  • Manage schedules, budgets, and resources to meet milestones.
  • Coordinate procurement of materials and equipment with vendors.
  • Review and approve technical drawings and documents.
  • Provide technical leadership to construction teams.
  • Conduct risk assessments and mitigation planning.
  • Foster teamwork and effective communication among stakeholders.

Position Overview:

As a Data Center Construction Project Manager with over 5 years of experience, you will be instrumental in the successful planning, execution, and delivery of large-scale data center projects. This role involves working closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure projects are completed on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. A strong understanding of hyper-scale data center construction is essential for this role.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with project managers, architects, engineers, and subcontractors to develop and implement comprehensive construction plans for data center projects.
  • Oversee the installation, testing, and commissioning of MEP systems, including HVAC, electrical distribution, plumbing, and fire protection.
  • Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress, identify potential issues, and ensure compliance with safety regulations and project specifications.
  • Manage project schedules, budgets, and resources to meet key milestones and deliverables.
  • Coordinate procurement of materials and equipment, working closely with vendors and suppliers to ensure timely delivery.
  • Review and approve technical documentation, including drawings, specifications, and construction documents.
  • Provide technical support and leadership to construction teams throughout all phases of the project.
  • Conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies to address project challenges.
  • Foster a collaborative, positive work environment that promotes teamwork and effective communication among project stakeholders.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field is preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in data center construction project management.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) systems, including design principles, installation methods, and industry best practices.
  • Proficiency in project management software such as Primavera P6, Procore, or Microsoft Project.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Experience working with subcontractors, vendors, and third-party consultants.
  • In-depth knowledge of building codes, regulations, and industry standards related to data center construction.
