The Data Center Construction Delivery Manager is Innomatrix's on-the-ground representative for the design-through-handoff delivery of one or more data center construction projects. This role owns schedule, budget, quality, and safety outcomes for assigned sites, coordinating general contractors, trade partners, engineers, and internal stakeholders from mobilization through commissioning and turnover to operations. The ideal candidate combines hands-on construction management experience with a working knowledge of critical mechanical, electrical, and controls (MEC) infrastructure, and is comfortable operating independently in a fast-paced, deadline-driven build environment.

Position Summary

The Data Center Construction Delivery Manager is Innomatrix's on-the-ground representative for the design-through-handoff delivery of one or more data center construction projects. This role owns schedule, budget, quality, and safety outcomes for assigned sites, coordinating general contractors, trade partners, engineers, and internal stakeholders from mobilization through commissioning and turnover to operations. The ideal candidate combines hands-on construction management experience with a working knowledge of critical mechanical, electrical, and controls (MEC) infrastructure, and is comfortable operating independently in a fast-paced, deadline-driven build environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary owner's representative on assigned data center construction and capital improvement projects, from pre-construction through substantial completion and handoff to operations.
• Manage day-to-day construction activities on-site, including contractor coordination, sequencing, and resolution of field issues that threaten schedule, cost, or quality.
• Track and report project schedule, budget, and change order status; elevate risks and variances to the Director of Construction Delivery with recommended mitigations.
• Review and approve contractor pay applications, change orders, and RFIs; maintain accurate project documentation and cost forecasts.
• Coordinate design and constructability reviews with architects and MEP engineers, ensuring electrical, mechanical, and structural designs meet project specifications and code requirements.
• Oversee commissioning activities (Cx) and systems testing, partnering with commissioning agents and operations teams to ensure a clean, well-documented turnover.
• Enforce site safety programs and quality control standards; conduct regular site walks and audits with general contractors and subcontractors.
• Manage the RFI, submittal, and punch-list process through closeout, ensuring as-built documentation is complete and accurate.
• Build and maintain strong working relationships with general contractors, trade partners, local jurisdictions, and utility providers to keep projects moving on schedule.
• Support procurement and bid-leveling activities for assigned trade packages in partnership with preconstruction and supply chain teams.
• Communicate project status clearly to internal stakeholders, including leadership, design, and operations teams, through regular written and verbal updates.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
• 5+ years of construction management experience, including at least 2 years on data center, mission-critical, or other critical-infrastructure projects.
• Demonstrated ability to manage project scope, schedule, budget, and change orders on ground-up or major renovation construction projects.
• Working knowledge of data center MEP systems (electrical distribution, UPS, generators, cooling plant, controls) sufficient to review designs and troubleshoot field issues.
• Familiarity with applicable building and safety codes, such as NEC, NFPA, OSHA, and local jurisdictional requirements.
• Proficiency with project management and scheduling tools (e.g., Procore, Primavera P6, MS Project) and strong Microsoft Excel and Word skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to represent the company confidently to contractors, vendors, and leadership.
• Willingness to travel to active job sites and work extended hours as project milestones require.

Preferred Qualifications

• PMP, CCM, or similar project or construction management certification.
• Experience with hyperscale or colocation data center delivery programs, including multi-site or campus-level construction.
• Familiarity with commissioning processes (Cx) and Building Management/DCIM systems.
• Experience managing a portfolio of concurrent projects across multiple general contractors.
• OSHA 30 certification.

Physical Requirements & Work Environment

• Regular presence on active construction sites, including exposure to noise, dust, weather, and standard construction hazards.
• Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) and safely navigate a job site, including climbing ladders and traversing uneven terrain.
• Ability to sit, stand, and work at a computer for extended periods when preparing reports and documentation.

Compensation & Benefits

Innomatrix offers a competitive base salary of $80,000 – 120,000, commensurate with experience, plus bonus and standard healthcare benefits.
