Job summary

Amazon AWS AMER Cost Control is seeking a Construction Cost Engineer to support data center construction projects in the US, with a focus on Texas. You will analyze costs, coordinate with vendors, and drive benchmarks to optimize capital spend.

The role requires collaboration with cross-functional teams, strong analytical skills, and experience in large-scale MEP environments. Occasional travel to project sites may be required, with a preference for candidates in Texas.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering required.
• 5+ years of construction management for large-scale MEP projects.
• Experience with power management and monitoring systems.
• Experience with MS Excel, Word, and Windows OS.

Responsibilities

• Utilize bid analysis tools and cost management templates.
• Engage and manage third-party Quantity Surveyor vendors.
• Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams across global scale.
• Communicate cost control goals to stakeholders.
• Identify value engineering opportunities and quantify savings.
• Validate change cost impacts and contract scope.
• Ensure timely validation of vendor invoices.
• Support project close-out and final payments.
