Job summary

Springtide Project Services, a division of IPS-Integrated Project Services, seeks a Commissioning Specialist I to join our MCHT Team. You will execute test procedures, document results, and learn mission-critical systems while contributing to safe, reliable, and on-schedule delivery.

Responsibilities span testing, verification, documentation, safety compliance, and collaboration with engineers, vendors, and contractors.

Qualifications

• 0–2 years of experience in Data Operations, System Support, or Commissioning Activities.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data validation techniques.
• Excellent organizational, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
• Familiarity with ASHRAE, NFPA, and local building codes.
• Able to read and interpret construction drawings and one-line drawings.
• OSHA 10 and First Aid/CPR certification must be maintained during employment.

Responsibilities

• Support the commissioning team in executing test procedures, recording data, and resolving basic defects under close supervision.
• Plan, coordinate, and execute commissioning activities for mechanical, electrical, and associated systems.
• Develop and execute commissioning plans, conduct performance tests, verify control systems, and ensure systems meet specs.
• Identify and report deviations from standards or project specifications; maintain quality.
• Maintain records of commissioning activities, test results, and discrepancies; prepare reports for management.
• Ensure adherence to ASHRAE, NFPA, and local building codes.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, vendors, and contractors to coordinate commissioning.
• Investigate and diagnose mechanical system issues; implement solutions to optimize performance.
• Provide guidance and training to data center staff on proper use and maintenance of systems.
• Assist in preventive maintenance planning to minimize downtime and enhance reliability.
